Hello! This is an information dump for any item that you may have purchased from me in ARTIST ALLEY or on ETSY!
ENAMEL PINS
For GLOW IN THE DARK pins, please use a FLASHLIGHT (hold longer) or UV light (Best) to “charge” the glow particles if you purchased a glow in the dark pin! Just shine the light over the pin! It's best to look on my Etsy to see which ones glow in the dark!If you are not using an ITA bag for your enamel pin, which are the bags with the PLASTIC SHIELD over your keychains/pins/etc, I highly recommend getting these ENAMEL PIN LOCKING BACKS. You can find them on AMAZON!
KEYCAP KEYCHAINS
The Batteries are replaceable! Just look for CR1220 watch batteries. Look around for the white part under the keycap. You'll see a little notch where the white plastic parts are. Just use a small screwdriver and GENTLY lift up the mechanism to change out the battery!Keycaps can be taken out and used on your keyboard as well, just remove them SLOWLY from the keychain! (I usually pull them up between the keychain and the keycap, and have one hand holding the keychain down while the other one lifts the keycaps up!)
KEYCHAINS / CHARMS
Keychains may or may not have a plastic film that is completely stuck in the back. You can use your nails to pick at the film and peel them off completely, or you can just leave them on! Over time they will peel naturally.If purchasing via ETSY, I remove the film for you!
Some Keychains I have are also epoxy sealed for a pretty “dome” looking effect. You will notice the curvature on the surface of the keychain. If the keychain is glittery, it 100% has Epoxy. Over time the epoxy may yellow over time (Average 3 years). Limited exposure to UV rays will slow down the yellowing.After hosting a poll on my twitter, the winner was to stop using epoxy, so we will slowly be phasing it out!If a keychain itself breaks in the metal part, try to catch the acrylic part! The silver/metal part of a keychain is REPAIRABLE and replaceable (You can purchase Keychain attachments via Amazon or at any craft store like Michaels) but if the acrylic breaks, then a new one is necessary.
You can also repair it yourself with this tutorial !MOTION STICKERSMotion stickers are waterproof and weatherproof! I put a few on my car and they go through car washes without any problem! But over time, depending on the sun, they will start to fade. Red colors seem to fade faster than others!POSTERSMy posters are usually 11”x17”. Frames are purchasable in Walmart! If you purchased any larger prints from me they are 20”x30” !Thank you :D
